The Dresden Book of Hours Master takes his name from a manuscript preserved at the Sächsische Landesbibliothek (Ms A. 311). He was active in Bruges between 1465 and 1515 and was a prominent illuminator. His works are characterized by the gentleness and innocence of the human figures, as well as the humor and irony evident in the scenes.
