Description

During the Second Spanish Republic, the idea of building a museum containing the collections of the Crown's patrimony arose. However, it was not until 1998 when the idea was taken up again by the Delegate Commission for Cultural Affairs. Luis M. Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón were responsible for the construction. The Royal Collections Gallery was inaugurated in 2024. Among the works from Castilla y León housed in the institution is the Polyptych of Isabella the Catholic.
