The Meadows Museumhas its origins in the collection of Algur H. Meadows. This oil financier built an outstanding collection of Spanish art. In 1962 he donated funds for the construction of the museum and in 1965 it opened its doors. Among the pieces from Castilla y León in its collection is a Lamentation by Alejo de Vahía.
