Description

The Riksdag decided to build a new museum in 1845 and commissioned Friedrich August Stüler and Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander. In 1866 the Nationalmuseum was inaugurated, a place that had a room for paintings, sculptures, textiles and a royal armory. Among the works from Castile and León housed in the institution is a monstrance from Burgos.
