The Currier Museum of Artoriginated in 1890, when Moody Currier and Hannah Slade conceived the idea of founding a museum. The couple's estate was the basis for the museum, which opened in 1929. Among the works from Castilla y León housed in the institution is a Calvary attributed to the Maestro de la Horta (Zamora).
