Description

In 1930 George F. Harding, Jr. (1968-1939) transformed his residence, known as Chicago's Treasure House, into a museum. The museum was conceived as a medieval castle and featured towers, secret passages and a dungeon. Harding opened his museum to the public with weekly tours and also organized exclusive events with politicians and celebrities.
