Adaline Van Horne

Description

Adaline Van Horne (1868-1941) was the daughter of William Cornelius Van Horne and Lucy Hurd, who had married in 1867. Her father was not only one of the most influential people in Canada, but also a great collector (Vaughan, 1920). After Van Horne's death the collection went to his daughter Adaline, who donated almost 600 pieces to the Art Association of Montreal.
