Jack & Belle Linsky Collection Foundation

Description

Jack Linsky (1897-1982) and his wife Belle Linsky (1904-1987) made a fortune with their office supply company Swingline Inc. founded in New York in 1925. Their art collection was spread throughout their residences, in Palm Beach, Florida, and mainly in New York. Upon Jack Linsky's death in 1980, the art collection forged by the couple gave rise to the Jack and Belle Linsky Foundation. In 1982 Belle donated much of the art collected by the couple over forty years to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
