Description

Ignacio León y Escosura was a painter of tableautins and an antiquarian. He began selling artworks on the American market in the 1870s and visited New York on several occasions (Egea, 2009). Additionally, he owned a large art collection that was later dispersed (1901) and became part of the private collections of other prominent figures of the time, such as Luigi Parmeggiani (Fiz Fuertes, 2023).
