The Frick Collection

New York (United States)

Description

The Frick Collection was founded by the industrialist Henry Clay Frick, who bequeathed his personal collection so that the public could enjoy it, as it happened in 1935. The building soon became too small and Frick had a new two-story pavilion built in 1977. Among the works from Castilla y León housed in the institution is Saint Jerome, a work by Domenicos Theotocopoulos that was originally in the Cathedral of Valladolid.
