The Church of San Martín (Pieros, León) is built on the site of an ancient Romanesque church of which only a few remains are left. Inside, a slate plaque bears an inscription mentioning the founders of the complex and the date of its construction, in the late 11th century. Only a single capital with plant motifs from the original structure has survived.
