Description

Sir Francis Beaufort Palmer (1845-1917) was the grandson of Royal Navy Admiral Francis Beaufort. He studied law and published numerous books, such as Company law. A practical book for lawyers & business men or Company precedents for use in relation to companies subject to the Companies acts, 1862 to 1890. He lived at 29 Bryanston Square (London). He acquired numerous works of art during his lifetime. After his death his collection was auctioned on April 10, 1919 at 8 King Street, St. James's Square, London.
