Paris (France)

Description

Charles-Marie-Tanneguy Duchâtel, Count of Duchâtel, was born in Paris in 1803. He studied law and became a lawyer. He supported the economic theory of Thomas Malthus and expressed his stance in a 1829 essay titled De la Charité dans ses rapports avec l'état moral et le bien-être des classes inférieures de la société.
